On reading Carl Sagan's Dragons of Eden I have been tempted to write something about the subject. However, I have found myself stranded in meaningless dissertations and unstructured reflections. More pressing issues have kept me from making any real progress in such a plausible task.
Yes, I'm talking about very ordinary issues such as managing my own expenses, making ends meet, expending quality time with my family, etc. I wonder if these kind of distractors are the most common killers of great feats by common people. Not that I think I would have written a masterpiece already, but I can't help but to wonder how many people have stopped short of giving birth to a great idea because of everyday concerns of the modern life.
Great creative acts require a little space, a little time, and lots of energy.
